How CDDCC works

updated 7/11/05

Through our own efforts and with the help of other volunteers, we:-

  • review Aberdeenshire Council (AC)’s own plans
  • initiate forward-looking plans on behalf of the community, e.g.
    • a long-term look at the future development of Drumoak, via “Planning for Real”
  • initiate and support community projects, e.g.
    • initial support and launch of Friends of Durris Forest
    • proposal, grant- and fund-raising and construction of the Drumoak Glebe footpath
    • assistance to Crathes School Board in the successful fight against closure of Crathes School
    • launch of Drumoak Youth Project 03
    • revival and relaunch of the plan for the “missing link” (Peterculter to Milton of Crathes) in the Deeside Way
  • support local charities and voluntary bodies, including (since 2000):-
