DRUMOAK CHURCH HALL

2. To approve minutes of AGM December 2003.
Approval of the minutes was proposed by David Hirst and seconded by Molly Atkinson.
3. To accept the Chairman’s Report.
The report was distributed to everyone present. It was proposed for acceptance by Jean Downie and seconded by John Hopkins.
4. To accept the Treasurer’s Report.
John Hopkins distributed copies of the Report. He said it was made up of two reports, one for CDDCC and the second for the Drumoak Youth Project (DYP03) for which CDDCC continues to act as fundholder. The Treasurer’s Report was proposed for acceptance by David Hirst and seconded by Ron Stark. The CDDCC accounts for 2004 were adopted and signed by John Hopkins and counter-signed by Don Keith.
5. To appoint a Chairman.
After brief discussion it was agreed to deal with this after item 6.
6. To accept suggested organisation.
A proposal to reorganise the workload of the CDDCC was circulated to council members last month. It was proposed that in addition to the Statutory Office Bearers of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, there should also be a Vice-Chair, a Press Officer, a Planning Committee (consisting of 3 councillors) and a Project Committee (consisting of 2 or 3 councillors to co-ordinate/run projects). This was thought to be a good idea as long as there were sufficient Council members to carry out all the tasks.
7. To appoint other officers.
Don Keith asked the present members of the CDDCC if they were willing to continue.
Don Keith - resigned as Chairman but willing to remain on the Community Council.
Ron Stark – resigned from the Community Council but willing to remain on Liaison sub-committee.
David Hirst – willing to continue but possibly restricted by changed business circumstances.
John Hopkins – will remain as Treasurer and continue the website but probably unable to attend most meetings.
Jean Downie – willing to continue.
Jill Gow – willing to continue as Secretary.
Doug Allstaff – willing to continue.
David Morrish – willing to continue.
Didier Terroir – willing to continue as long as business circumstances permit.
Molly Atkinson – willing to continue.
Julia MacKay – willing to continue.
Hanni Willan – willing to continue and accept the Vice Chair position with the proviso that she will not take over as Chairman).
Tony Butcher – joining as a new member from Crathes.
Donald Keith proposed that David Morrish should become the new Chairman. This was seconded by David Hirst. Don said that David had been involved with the Community Council on and off for many years and would be an excellent candidate. There were no other nominations; a vote was taken and passed unanimously. David Morrish accepted.
Thanks were given to Donald Keith and to Ron Stark for all their hard work on behalf of the Community Council.
8. To table any other competent business from
the general public.
Molly Atkinson reported that the amount of rubbish in the field by Deeside Nursery was an eyesore. Her comments were noted.
David Hirst said that it may be worthwhile for CDDCC to participate in forums with other Community Councils to see if good ideas or procedures they may have developed could be usefully adopted by CDDCC.
The AGM was declared closed.
