Minutes of Meeting

2.         Minutes of November 2006 Meeting

3.         Minute Secretary Appointment

 

It was agreed that, for a trial period of 6 months, starting with the January 2007 meeting, the minutes would be produced on a professional basis, with a fee of £15 per meeting.  It was unanimously agreed to accept the offer by John Hopkins to undertake this task.  It was further agreed that minutes should be drafted and distributed for comment by the Friday following each meeting, with comments submitted to the minute secretary by the following Monday.  This would allow a more consistent and timely distribution of minutes in future.  Nil comments by the Monday would be taken as agreement with the draft.

 

4.         Mobile Library

 

Will keep us up to date with developments.

 

5.         DYPO3 - Carry-over

 

Sandy Wallace explained that he and Jill Sowdon of Aberdeenshire Council are keen to promote the idea of a Keithmuir and Sunnyside Tenants & Residents Association.  They also intend to enlist the support of the Marr Tenant participation officer. The CDDCC hope that eventual members of such an association would also be interested in the community council.

 

6.         Correspondence

 

A) Draft 2007-2010 Marr Area Plan: Dave Morrish agreed to review this document.

 

B) River Dee Catchment Management Plan: Dave Morrish agreed to check this website and respond accordingly.

 

C) Letter from Stonehaven & District CC re wind turbines & wind farms: CDDCC supports the proposal of a public debate.  John Hopkins agreed to respond to this effect.

 

D) Marr Area Committee Report.

 

7.         Access Issues

Chap’s Environmental Policy - Donald Keith has attended a meeting; no minutes are available as yet.

 

9.         Major Developments

 

Durris

 

A) A letter from James Wheater about development brief for Woodlands of Durris requests Community Council input.  Woodlands are convening their own group to deal with this - action David Morrish

 

B) A Public Meeting at Kirkton of Durris was attended by William Downie and John Hopkins.  John Coyne has a good line of defence.  Action:  John Hopkins to keep in touch with John Coyne.

 

Crathes

 

An Action Committee, including Anne Ross, David Morrish and Keith Whitehead and Tony butch is to be convened when more detailed plans for the Crathes development are available next year.

The meeting dates for 2007 will be the first Tuesday of each month (except January when the meeting will be on the 9th).  Venue – Irvine Arms.
