Fraser
McCallum has acknowledged they have the mandate.
11. Development of Wind
Farm at Mid-Hill.
John Hopkins reported that
he had met the Developers to discuss their draft scheme, under which money was to
be distributed to local community groups.
The proposal was to divide £50K/annum amongst 4 groups, with CDDCC
receiving £5K/annum. The share of the
total fund seemed inappropriate and there were queries about the administration
mechanisms. To contact
the other groups to determine their views. (Action: John Hopkins)
It was noted that planning permission
had already been granted for this wind farm, but a further application was
likely (to increase installed capacity from 50 MW to 75 MW, by increasing
individual turbine sizes - but not numbers)
