3. Councillor Sandy Wallace

Due to his having to leave early because of other business commitments, the following discussions with Sandy Wallace were brought forward:-

·        Traffic islands in Drumoak (action still awaited by Aberdeenshire Council)

·        Lease of Drumoak Public Hall (action still awaited by Aberdeenshire Council)

·        The need to connect with the Drumoak sewerage would mean that some form of footpath would be created along the North Deeside Road from the new garden centre to Drumoak

·        Access out east from Drumoak Public Hall (Chap Construction)

·        Shed / portakabin – is now a hazard – who owns this?

·        Drumoak School – Directors of Education and Planning (there is a requirement for further discussion)

4. Drumoak School

The attendees, Hanni Willan and John Hopkins were impressed with the public meeting on 14 June 2005.  .  To write to Willie Munro, to obtain acknowledgement of receipt of the notes of the meeting, raising also the question of the provision of Mains sewerage for the school, as part of Stewart Milne Planning Gain.  (Action: John Hopkins)

If funding were to be made available from Aberdeenshire Council own resources, approval might be forthcoming as early as December 2005.  Funding from the Scottish Executive might take as long as 3 years.

5. Drumoak Youth Project (DYP)

No action until we know something.

Money from Aberdeenshire Council (£9K) in principle.  We would need to do something to justify.  We do not proceed with artificial surface until we know more.

9. Deeside Way

An objection to be raised to the seven-strand barbed wire fence erected on a path leading to the Deeside Way.  (Action: David Morrish).

10. Bank Mandate.

Fraser McCallum has acknowledged they have the mandate.

11. Development of Wind Farm at Mid-Hill.

John Hopkins reported that he had met the Developers to discuss their draft scheme, under which money was to be distributed to local community groups.  The proposal was to divide £50K/annum amongst 4 groups, with CDDCC receiving £5K/annum.  The share of the total fund seemed inappropriate and there were queries about the administration mechanisms.  To contact the other groups to determine their views.  (Action: John Hopkins)

It was noted that planning permission had already been granted for this wind farm, but a further application was likely (to increase installed capacity from 50 MW to 75 MW, by increasing individual turbine sizes - but not numbers)
